2. Our approach
We take the protection of your personal data seriously. This website operates without analytics or advertising tracking: we do not use tools such as Google Analytics, we set no marketing cookies, and we do not share data for advertising purposes. Fonts are served locally from our own server; no connection to Google is established for this purpose.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by SiteGround Hosting Ltd. on servers located in the United Kingdom, which benefits from an EU adequacy decision.
When you visit the site, the server automatically processes technical information (server log files): IP address, date and time of access, page requested, browser type and version, operating system, and referrer URL. This data is technically required to deliver the website and to ensure stability and security (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are deleted automatically according to the host’s standard retention periods.
4. Cookies
This website only uses technically necessary cookies:
- A cookie storing your language preference (English/German).
- Security tokens set by the Cloudflare Turnstile spam protection (see section 5).
These cookies contain no tracking identifiers and are not used for profiling. As only strictly necessary cookies are used, no consent banner is required.
5. Contact form and spam protection
If you contact us via the contact form, we process the data you provide (name, email address, message) in order to handle your enquiry (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). The data is deleted once it is no longer required, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
To protect the form against automated abuse we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-friendly captcha service by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Turnstile evaluates technical browser signals to distinguish humans from bots; your IP address is transmitted to Cloudflare in the process. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the form against abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
6. Vimeo videos
This website embeds videos hosted by Vimeo Inc., 330 West 34th Street, New York, NY 10001, USA. When you open a page containing a Vimeo player, a connection to Vimeo’s servers is established and Vimeo receives your IP address and information about the page visited. Vimeo may set its own cookies. We embed players with the “Do Not Track” parameter where technically possible. Transfers to the USA are based on the EU Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and/or certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
